In order to reach the wider Christian community Angliconnect has been renamed EquipNet.
Equipnet extents its reach for the Christian community
ChurchNet Group Pty Ltd, is an Australian company that was established in August 2006 and officially launched in June 2007 in conjunction with the Sydney Anglican Church administration conference. Our company was established through discussions with the Sydney Anglican Diocese to meet the practical needs of parishes, schools, health and aged care facilities, so that member organisations could benefit from the experiences of one other.
ChurchNet employs an innovative group buying strategy that is designed to deliver better pricing and service for the Christian community, irrespective of the individual customer, through any one of its managed procurement portals.
Owing to that group buying strategy, in 2009 Angliconnect was asked to present to the delegates at the not-for-profit forum, where the concept received an extremely positive response (it was apparent that the same issues faced by the Anglican community were common throughout the whole of the Christian and not-for-profit communities).
However, there was one stumbling block; non Anglican organisations and some of the non-for-profits weren’t comfortable, or were not able to, engage with an Anglican exclusive brand like Angliconnect. Today, Equipnet (formerly Angliconnect), UnitedConnect, AssistNet and CampusConnect are all services of ChurchNet Group designed to deliver the same benefits for the different vertical markets that make up the Christian community.
